Driving Code works offline and requires no account. Your progress and settings stay on your device. We only receive anonymous usage statistics and crash reports.
1. Data that stays on your device
The following is stored only in the app's local database and never leaves your device:
- Test and practice results, progress, and statistics
- Bookmarked questions
- App settings (theme, daily reminder time)
Daily practice reminders are local notifications scheduled entirely on your device. The driving school directory is a static list — the app does not collect or use your location.
2. Data we receive
The app uses Google Firebase:
- Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage statistics (app opens, session length, general device/OS info)
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports (device state and error details at the time of a crash)
This data is anonymous and is not linked to your identity. See Firebase Privacy & Security.
3. What we don't do
- We don't require an account and don't collect your name, email, or contacts
- We don't collect your location
- We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers
- We don't show third-party ads
4. Data deletion
Local data is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data in your device settings. Analytics and crash data is anonymous and automatically deleted per Google's standard retention periods.
5. Children's privacy
The app is intended for people preparing for a driving license exam and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
6. Changes to this policy
This page may be updated as the app changes. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any meaningful changes.
